2 Grant Location Permission

StepSlayer needs access to your location to detect when you reach questions. Your location data is only used during gameplay and is never sold or shared.

3 Explore or Create

Choose your path:

• Play: Discover public adventures near you on the map

Finding Adventures

Browse the interactive map to find available adventures. Each marker shows:

• 📍 Location pins: Individual questions
• 🎯 Quiz center: Starting point (tap to see details)
• ⭐ Category: Nature, History, Science, Sports, Logic, or General

Starting an Adventure

1. Tap a quiz marker on the map
2. Read the description and difficulty
3. Click "Play"
4. Walk to the first location to unlock the question

Gameplay Modes

• 🚶 Walking Mode: Real GPS required—walk to each location
• 🧪 Simulator Mode: Practice without walking (tap markers to unlock)

Answering Questions

Questions unlock when you're within the unlock radius (usually 20-50 meters). You'll see:

After completing an adventure, submit your score to the public leaderboard. Rankings are based on:

Step-by-Step Creation

1 Basic Settings

• Name: Give your adventure a catchy title
• Description: Explain what players will experience
• Category: Choose from Nature, History, Science, Sports, Logic, or General
• Visibility: Public (anyone can find) or Private (password required to play)

2 Add Questions

1. Click anywhere on the map to place a question marker
2. Write your question text
3. Choose question type:
   • Multiple Choice: Add 2-6 answer options, mark correct ones
   • Text Answer: Players type their response
4. Set unlock radius (how close players must be to unlock)
5. Optional: Mark as tie-breaker question

3 Configure Gameplay

• Ordered Mode: Force players to answer questions in sequence
• Free Exploration: Players can visit questions in any order
• Unlock Radius: Set global distance threshold (override per question)

4 Test & Publish

1. Use Simulator Mode to test your quiz without walking
2. Fix any typos or logic errors
3. Set an Editor Password to prevent unauthorized edits
4. Optional: Set a Play Password for private events

Your progress is auto-saved every 30 seconds. If you lose signal:

Can I edit a quiz after publishing?

Yes, but be careful:
